BIRCHFIELD Sheet Metal was established in 1978 in a small workshop unit in the village of Padfield which is situated just a couple miles from the town centre of Glossop in the foothills of the backbone of England namely the Pennines. Even though the county name is Derbyshire this area is known as the High Peak, Kinder Scout is but 5 miles away on the outskirts of the village of Hayfield.

As this family owned  business outgrew the original premises in Padfield a move to the Hadfield Industrial Estate was viewed as a step forward for this ever expanding  family business. Originally the business was based on General Sheet Metal factoring, however we now fabricate in Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Ferrous Metals i.e. Mild Steel, Galvanised Steel and Zintec. Over the last few years we have developed our business to include work in Sectional Steel, producing Staircases, Mezzanine Floors and Walkways etc. As a family business we make the decisions quickly (no Boardroom arguments here!!) In house or on site design, planning, good service and customer satisfaction are always foremost when working in partnership with our clients.
